Oil Temperature, Measure (Y 17 DT, Y 17 DTL)

1. Open bonnet

 Object Number: 2415963 Size: DEFAULT

2. Remove oil dipstick

3. Insert measuring probe

  • Insert probe into oil dipstick guide tube until approx. 1 cm above bottom of oil pan
  • Seal opening of oil dipstick guide tube with accompanying rubber plug

4. Measure oil temperature

  • using MKM-596-A
  • Note! The oil temperature depends on the engine load. High ambient temperatures and extreme engine loads can lead to an oil temperature of up to approx. 150 °C.

5. Remove measuring probe.

6. Insert oil dipstick.

7. Close bonnet
