Corsa C
Corsa-C automatic cruise control Automatic cruise control (Tempomat) is optionally available for the Corsa-C as of MY 2004,5 in the equipment variant with Z 17 DTH engine and ABS. With automatic cruise control the driver can store the current vehicle speed. After the speed has been stored, no further speed adjustments using the accelerator pedal are required. The automatic cruise control monitors the current vehicle speed and increase or decreases the vehicle speed automatically if necessary in order to maintain the stored target speed. Vehicle speed programming is only possible at speeds of approximately 30 km/h and above. Automatic cruise control is activated by pressing button "I" on the control panel of the automatic cruise control system. The speed at which the vehicle is being driven at this point in time is stored and used as the target speed by the automatic cruise control. The vehicle can be accelerated in stages by pressing the "I" button again. Holding down the "I" button causes automatic vehicle acceleration. When the "I" button is released the current speed as stored again and used as the target speed. Pressing the accelerator pedal whilst the cruise control is active (e.g. when overtaking) overrides the cruise control, which becomes active again when the accelerator is released. The driver can reduce the vehicle speed in stages by pressing the "R" button. If the "R" button is held down the vehicle speed continues to be reduced until the "R" button is released again. The automatic cruise control is deactivated by pressing the "O" button on the control panel of the automatic cruise control system. The following parameters also deactivate the automatic cruise control.
If the automatic cruise control has been deactivated by one of these parameters, the last vehicle speed that was stored can be reactivated by pressing the "R" button once. However, reactivation is only possible at a vehicle speed above 30 km/h. The stored speed in the automatic cruise control is deleted from the automatic cruise control memory when the ignition is switched off and is therefore no longer available when the ignition is switched on again.
