Replace front seat pad - L08
 Remove

Remove front seat
Note: Observe waiting
time for airbag deactivation, 1 min.

Remove head restraint
| • |
Release head restraint in direction of arrow, and withdraw
upwards
|
|
|
|
| 3. |
Detach adjustment handle (1) on front seat backrest
| • |
Unclip adjustment handle panel (2) with suitable tool
|
| • |
Unclip front seat backrest adjustment handle
|
|
|
|
| 4. |
Detach height adjuster panel (1)
| • |
Unclip panel with a suitable tool
|
|
| 5. |
Detach height adjuster (2)
| • |
Unscrew bolt (3) and remove lever
|
|
|
|
| 7. |
Uncover airbag cable harness
| • |
Expose wiring harness from seat backrest
|
|
| 8. |
Remove front seat backrest
| • |
Detach 2x tension strap
|
| • |
Release and unclip Bowden cable (2)
|
|
|
|
|
| 9. |
Detach upholstery covering all the way round
| • |
Undo 6x clips (1, 2)
Note: Clips cannot be
removed without damage, and must be replaced.

| 10. |
Remove upholstery covering
| • |
Detach upholstery covering from seat mount all the way
round
|
| • |
Detach 11x upholstery clamps
|
| • |
Remove upholstery covering
|
|
| 11. |
Replace upholstery pad
|
|
|
Install
| 13. |
Attach upholstery covering
| • |
Attach 11x upholstery clamps
|
|
| 14. |
Fasten upholstery covering all round
|
| 15. |
Install front seat backrest
| • |
Attach and clip in Bowden cable
|
| • |
Attach 2x tension strap
|
|
| 16. |
Lay airbag cable harness
| • |
Lay wiring harness on seat backrest
|
|
| 18. |
Fit height adjuster lever
|
| 19. |
Fit height adjuster lever panel
|
| 20. |
Install head restraint
|
| 21. |
Install adjusting wheel for front seat backrest
|
| 22. |
Attach adjuster wheel panel
|
|
