Replacing the air cleaner housing

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Remove air cleaner housing (1) with air intake hose (3)
•   Disconnect mass air flow sensor wiring harness (2)
•   Unclip 2x vacuum line (5)
•   Remove air intake hose from air intake pipe
– Release clamp (4)
– Unscrew bolt (6)
•   Detach air intake hose resonator (7)
•   Detach water drain hose (8) from air cleaner housing
– Pull off hose from air cleaner housing
•   Detach air cleaner housing from wheel housing
– Press out from rubber retainer in 3 places

3.   Detach air flow sensor with air intake hose (2)
•   Release clamp
4.   Remove air cleaner element
•   Detach upper part of air cleaner housing (1)
– Unscrew 4x bolts

  Install

5.   Install air cleaner element
•   Tighten 4x bolts
6.   Attach air flow sensor with air intake hose
•   Tighten clamp 3.5 Nm
7.   Install air cleaner housing with air intake hose
•   Attach water drain hose to air cleaner housing
– Fasten clamp
•   Attach air cleaner housing to wheelhouse
– Press into rubber retainers in 3 places
•   Remove air intake hose at air intake pipe
– Tighten clamp 3.5 Nm
– Tighten bolt
– Clip 2x vacuum line into bracket
•   Connect mass air flow meter wiring harness plug
– Clip on bracket
8.   Close bonnet
