Replace automatic transmission fluid cooler (AF
13-II)
Remove
1. |
Detach 2 fluid cooler lines from transmission
Note: Place collecting
pan underneath.

Pull off 2 protective rings (3)
|
• |
Prise off 2 retaining clamps (4)
Note: Prise retaining
clamp from quick-release connection with a small screwdriver
|
• |
Pull off 2 fluid cooling lines
|
|
2. |
Remove 2 fluid cooler lines on the fluid cooler
• |
Pull off 2 protective rings (2)
|
• |
Prise off 2 retaining clamps (1)
Note: Prise retaining
clamp from quick-release connection with a small screwdriver
|
• |
Pull off 2 fluid cooler lines and remove
Note: Note installation
position of fluid cooler lines.
|

|

Detach fluid cooler from transmission
|
|
|
4. |
Open coolant expansion tank cover
|
5. |
Drain coolant
• |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
• |
Push on suitable hose (2)
|
• |
Open drain cock (1) in the direction of the arrow
|
|
|
|
6. |
Remove fluid cooler (3)
• |
Detach 2 coolant hoses (1)
|
|
|
|
Install
7. |
Install fluid cooler (3)
• |
Attach 2 coolant hoses (1)
|
|
|
|
8. |
Attach fluid cooler to transmission
• |
Tighten 2 nuts (1) 20 Nm
|
|
|
|
9. |
Attach 2 fluid cooler lines to the fluid cooler
Note: Use new seal
rings.
• |
Insert 2 retaining clamps (1)
|
• |
Insert 2 fluid cooling lines
Note: Ensure that the
fluid cooling lines engage audibly.
|
• |
Push on 2 protective rings (2)
|
|
10. |
Attach 2 fluid cooler lines to transmission
Note: Use new seal
rings.
• |
Insert 2 retaining clamps (4)
|
• |
Insert 2 fluid cooling lines
Note: Ensure that the
fluid cooling lines engage audibly.
|
• |
Push on 2 protective rings (3)
|
|
|
