Transmission Fluid Level, Check and Correct
(F13+/F17+)
Note: Account must be
taken of the fact that ex works the transmission fluid level may
always be below the checking aperture – up to approx. 20 mm . The transmission fluid level need
only be checked and corrected, if necessary, after repair and
maintenance operations on the transmission.
Remove
1. |
Remove fluid check bolt (arrow)
Note: Inspection
aperture on rear left in direction of travel.

Check transmission fluid level
Note: Transmission must
be filled up to the lower edge of the inspection aperture.

3. |
Remove reversing lamp switch (1)
Note: Only if
transmission fluid needs to be topped up.

Disconnect wiring harness plug, reversing lamp switch
|

|
4. |
Top up with transmission fluid until it emerges at the
inspection aperture
|
Install
5. |
Attach fluid check bolt to transmission
• |
Tighten bolt 4 Nm + 45° to 135°
|
|
6. |
Attach reversing light switch to transmission with new seal
ring
• |
Connect wiring harness plug for reversing lamp switch
|
