Replace regulator (Euro 4)

Warning:   When working on the LPG system, the multivalve shut-off valve must be closed BY HAND. Work may only be performed by trained personnel. Faulty installation can lead to fire or explosion, which is a danger to life and limb.

Important:   Observe safety regulations for gas-driven vehicles (natural gas / Liquefied Petroleum Gas LPG).

  Remove

1.   Close shut-off valve
2.   Open bonnet
3.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach earth connection
4.   Remove air cleaner housing
•   Corsa-D
– Z 12 XEP, Z 14 XEP
•   Astra-H
– Z 14 XEP
– Z 16 XER
•   Meriva
– Z 14 XEP
5.   Separate wiring harness plug for solenoid valve
•   Lay wiring harness
6.   Detach gas feed line at regulator
•   Unscrew bolt (1)
Note:   When opening the screw, drain the residual gas to atmosphere.

7.   Detach tank vent line (1) from tank vent valve (2)
•   Unclip 2x tank vent lines from spring turret bracket

8.   Detach coolant hose from regulator
•   Place collecting tray underneath
•   Close 2x coolant hose (1) with hose clamps (2)
•   Remove 2x clamps (3)
•   Detach 2x coolant hose from regulator

9.   Detach gas line from regulator to gas line filter
•   Detach clamp
•   Detach gas line from regulator
10.   Detach vacuum line from intake manifold to regulator
•   Detach clamp
•   Detach vacuum line from regulator
11.   Detach regulator from strut turret bracket.
•   Unscrew nut (1)
•   Detach washer (2)

  Install

12.   Attach regulator to strut turret bracket.
•   Attach washer
•   Tighten nut with MKM-6600-1 and MKM-6600-200
– Tightening torque 20 Nm
13.   Attach vacuum line for intake manifold to regulator
•   Attach vacuum line to regulator
•   Attach clamp
14.   Attach gas line from regulator to gas line filter
•   Attach gas line to regulator
•   Attach clamp
Note:   Replace clamp.
15.   Attach coolant hose to regulator
•   Attach 2x coolant hose to regulator.
•   Attach 2x clamps
•   Detach 2x hose clamps
•   Remove collecting pan
16.   Attach tank vent line to tank vent valve
•   Clip in 2x tank vent line to spring turret bracket
17.   Attach gas feed line to regulator
•   Tighten screw with MKM-6600-1 and MKM-6600-200
– Tightening torque 12 Nm
18.   Connect wiring harness plug for solenoid valve
19.   Install air cleaner housing
•   Corsa-D
– Z 12 XEP, Z 14 XEP
•   Astra-H
– Z 14 XEP
– Z 16 XER
•   Meriva
– Z 14 XEP
20.   Connect battery
•   Attach earth connection
21.   Open shut-off valve
22.   Carry out leak test and repair any leaks LUREF_1.gif
23.   Program volatile memories
24.   Close bonnet
