Different tyre types It is not permissible to use different tyre types Either radial or crossply tyres must be used on a car. Exception: spare wheel in an emergency When inspecting the wheels, make sure that all the tyres are the same type. If not, inform the customer and mark it as a shortcoming. The use of summer and winter tyres together on a car is not recommended. Most European countries specify either summer tyres only or winter tyres only (M+S) on each axle. In Austria and France this applies to all wheel positions. |
