Glass Panel, Replace

Remove

Crank glass panel to ventilating position. Push sun screen towards rear. Unscrew panel from both slide block guides.

28   Screw, self-locking

Lift glass panel from roof cut-out.

Install

Before installation, check distance between screw flanges for attachment.

Distance:         772 mm/30.39 in.

Align flange by hand if necessary.

1     Screw flange

2     Welding nut

3     Protective sheeting (remove after adjusting operations)

Insert glass panel with controlled gap seal in roof cut-out.

Note:

To avoid mistakes when inserting, note that safety glass sign is positioned at rear of roof cut-out and wide chequered edging at front of roof cut-out.

Loosely screw glass panel into place.

Use new self-locking bolts.

Adjust glass panel height.

Crank glass panel to closed position and tighten front screw.

Then crank open to ventilating position and tighten rear screw.

Distance from panel edge:   front - 1 mm/0.039 in.

                                             rear + 1 mm/0.039 in.

28   Self-locking bolt

Tighten bolts to 5 Nm/4 lbf. ft.
