Stabilizer, Remove and Install or Replace

Raise vehicle.

Remove one rear wheel.

Remove damper from stabilizer.

Unbolt stabilizer mounting from rear axle assembly.

Remove stabilizer from rear axle assembly.

If necessary, drive out stabilizer using drift.

Place new stabilizer in rear axle assembly and damper.

Thinly coat stabilizer shaft with lubricant to facilitate mounting.

Install new mounting bolts and tighten to 70 Nm/52 lbf. ft., then further turn bolts 60° to 75°.

Mount rear wheel and tighten to 110 Nm/81 lbf. ft.

Lower vehicle.
