Vacuum Pump, Remove and Install

Relieve tension on V-belt and remove.

Remove

Detach vacuum line and oil lines from vacuum pump.

Remove retaining bolts and remove vacuum pump with O-ring.

Install

Place vacuum pump on alternator shaft and secure tightly

Note installation position of O-ring

Torque: 7 Nm/5 lbf. ft.

Pour approx. 5 cm³ of engine oil into the oil entrance port.

Check whether alternator belt pulley can be turned easily by hand.

Replace V-belt and tension it.
