Injector, Clean

 

Remove injector.

See appropriate operation.

 

Clamp injector holder in vise.

 

Disassemble injector holder.

 

Warning: Do not touch stem of injector needle.

Check injector needle and body for damage and for wear.

 

Use commercially available special tool to clean injectors.

 

Clean injector body surface and needle with wooden spatula soaked in diesel.

 

Note:    Do not attempt to clean injector body or needle with metal objects or sandpaper.

 

The injectors must always be cleaned individually to avoid mixing up needles and bodies.

Clean injector body and needle and all other parts in pure diesel.

 

Important:

The injectors must be free of deposits.

Do not touch sanded surface of nozzle needle with hand.

The cleaned needle must move freely in the injector

body and slide in the injector body through its own

weight.

Assemble injector and injector holder.

 

 

Object Number: 2378745  Size: DEFAULT

 

 

Clamp injector holder in vise.

 

Important:

Use protective jaws.

Torque:         45 Nm/33 lbf. ft.
