Rod Antenna, Service Install
The rod antenna is mounted on the right front wing.

Drill hole for antenna bracket.
Drill hole diameter according to instructions for installing
antenna.
Protect installation area against corrosion.

|
Drill hole for antenna cable in dash panel (diameter
depending on enclosed grommet). Centre-punch mark is already provided.
|
|
|
Punch out pre -stamped opening in wheel well.
Drill 2 holes Æ 3.5 mm/0.14
in. in existing centre-punch mark.
Insert antenna in wing from below, align and fasten. Insert
lower antenna guide and bolt on.

Lead antenna cable with grommet through dash panel and seal
it.
Drill 3.5 mm/0.14 in. hole in wheel well.
Bolt ground lead on with toothed lock washer.

|
Lay antenna cable to radio and secure to dash panel.
Glove compartment should be removed for this.
Note:
To avoid noise, cover antenna cable in instrument panel area
with self -adhesive foam strips.
