Caution

Disconnect battery and wait 1 minute until the capacitor has discharged.

  Remove

Mixed air nozzle housing on passenger's side – see operation "Mixed Air Nozzle Housing – Passenger's Side, Remove and Install " in group "D".

Open glove compartment, release lower airbag unit cover (2) (I, arrows), upper hinge bolt (1) (II), remove airbag unit cover.

Release passenger's side airbag unit, release and disconnect wiring harness plug for passenger's side airbag unit (1), remove passenger's side airbag unit.

  Install

Wiring harness plug for passenger's side airbag unit, passenger's side airbag unit to airbag unit bracket – insert with new fastening bolts – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.

Insert airbag unit cover, upper hinge bolt – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft., lower airbag unit cover to instrument panel padding – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.
