EEPROM test:
· One
EEPROM range in the control unit cannot be written or read
The EEPROM is subdivided into
the following ranges:
01. Nominal positions for
position button 1
02. Nominal positions for
position button 2
03. Nominal positions for
position button 3
04. Fault memory
05. Final stops for seat
motors
06. Final stops for
mirror motors
07. Constants range
08. Variables and fault
masks
09. Content of the
identification block
10. Reserved range
Effect:
· Range
01 to 03
Automatic adjustment for the
relevant position button is blocked
· Range
04
Read - out of stored
trouble codes is not possible
· Range
05
The seat final stops are not
monitored, i. e. the motors are not switched off when the programmed final
stops are reached
· Range
06
The mirror final stops are not
monitored; there is only one final stop for the vertical right outside mirror
(because of parking aid mode);
· Range
07
Fixed values are used instead
of the stored constants.
Main relay monitoring:
· No
contact is recognized as being switched on despite button actuation and
actuation by software of one of the two main relays in the control unit
· 1.5 s
after the last button is released and after actuation by software of one of
the two main relays in the control unit, one of the contacts is recognized as
being not switched off
· The
above tests are performed after the main relays are switched on or off
Effect:
· Seat
motors are not actuated
