Remove and install front seat – see operation "Front Seat, Remove and Install" in group "C".

Access through bore which has to be made in vehicle underbody from outside. Use centre punching marks (1) on vehicle underbody.

Remove spacer plate.

Position centrepunch. Rebore spot weld with Ø 8 mm drill bit. Lever off spacer plate with chisel.

  Install

Renew welding nut and attach spacer plate.

Perform safety precautions to prevent sparking and fire hazard when welding.

Unscrew detent screw and weld spacer plate to old fastening point. The square hole in the spacer plate must lie congruent with square hole in reinforcement.

Grind spot weld flat. Seal spot weld and bore with corrosion protection.

Cement bore with galvanised plate (50 x 50 x 1 mm) (Adhesive 90 295 281 / 15 04 803) and secure with aluminium blind rivets (Ø 5.2 mm) with flush head (Ø 10 mm), then apply underseal.

Install front seat.
