Note:

 

 
·   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug M61

 

 
·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

approx. 12 volts

·   Body wiring harness, short circuit to ground

     from:    M61/Ter. 3

     to:         K37/Ter. 20

 

 

·   Check control unit K37 with TECH 1

 

 
·   Turn key 30° to the right in driver's door and hold in this position

approx. 0 volts

·   Body wiring harness, interruption

     from:    M61/Ter. 3

     to:         K37/Ter. 20

 

 

·   Check control unit K37 with TECH 1

 

 
If nominal values are attained:

 

·   Control unit M61 defective
