Automatic Vehicle Level Control, Check
Caution
Perform measurement on level ground.
Inspect
Measure height of unladen rear of vehicle at distinctive point
on body (e.g. centre of bumper) and make note of current value.
Switch on ignition.
After the vehicle has been loaded, the automatic vehicle level
control must raise the rear of the vehicle to a set height 3-5
centimetres lower than the previously measured trim height within a
response period of approx. 20 seconds.

Now check the components, lines and connections for leaks using
commercially available leak detector spray.
When the vehicle is unloaded again, the rear of the body rises
and the automatic vehicle level control must lower the rear of the
vehicle to the previously measured height after a response time of
approx. 20 seconds.
