Vacuum Hose, Remove and Install (Vehicles with DOHC Engine)

  Remove

Pull vacuum hose (2) out of brake servo and remove. Disconnect both vacuum connections (1) from check valve.

Unclip vacuum hose from clips (2). Unscrew union nut (1) for vacuum hose and remove vacuum hose.

For vehicles with quick release fitting: Detach quick release fitting for vacuum hose from intake manifold – release quick release fitting by firmly pressing catch.

  Disassemble

Cut through vacuum hose at check valve, brake servo and intake manifold connection (1) and remove. Release hose clamps (2) and remove connection piece.

  Assemble

Cut new vacuum hose (textile outer layer) to measured length and install with new hose clamps (1).

Ensure that arrows on check valve point towards intake manifold.

  Install

Insert vacuum hose into brake servo (2). Connect vacuum connections (1).

Object Number: 2388041  Size: DEFAULT

Attach vacuum hose to intake pipe (1) – tightening torque 18 Nm / 13.5 lbf. ft. Insert vacuum hose in clips (2).

  Inspect

Ensure that all connections are perfectly tight. Check function of brake servo – see operation "Brake Servo, Check Function".
