Function of radiator fan relay K28

·   Ignition on

·   Disconnect wiring harness plug from coolant temperature switch S128 and bridge contacts 2 and 3 in wiring harness plug.

     Remove bridge, then disconnect wiring harness plug from switch S20 and bridge contacts 3 and 4 in wiring harness plug.

Radiator fan motor M4 starts opera - ting each time.

·   Measure only if function is not OK.

·   Disconnect radiator fan relay K52 from wiring harness plug.

·   Ignition on

·   Measure only if function is not OK.

·   Disconnect wiring harness plug from coolant temperature switch S128 and bridge contacts 2 and 3 in wiring harness plug.

Possible cause of fault, trouble - shooting:

1.    Fuse F40 defective.

2.    Fuse F15 defective.

3.    Coolant temperature switch S128 defective (see S128).

4.    Switch S20 defective (see S20)

5.    Lead interruption between K28 / Ter. (4) and fuse output F40.

6.    Lead interruption between K28 / Ter. (2) and fuse output F15.

7.    Lead interruption between K28 / Ter. (5) and switch S20 / Ter. (3).

8.    Lead interruption between K28 / Ter. (6) and coolant temperature switch S128 / Ter. (2).

9.    Lead interruption between K28 / Ter. (8) and radiator fan motor M4 / lead RTWS.
