Auxiliary Coolant Pump, Remove and Install
 Remove

Remove lower engine compartment cover.
Open coolant drain bolt (1) on radiator and drain coolant
– collect escaping coolant.
Remove coolant hoses (6) from auxiliary coolant pump.
Disconnect wiring harness connector (3) from auxiliary coolant
pump.
Remove fastening nuts (4) and remove auxiliary coolant pump and
holder (5).
Note: Modify holder
when replacing auxiliary coolant pump.

Install
Insert auxiliary coolant pump and holder. Attach holder to body
using fastening nuts.
Connect auxiliary coolant pump wiring harness connector.
Connect coolant hoses to auxiliary coolant pump.
Close coolant drain bolt on radiator.
Install lower engine compartment cover - tightening torque 5 Nm
/ 3.7 lbf. ft.
Top up and bleed cooling system – see operation "Cooling
System, Top up and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for
Leaks".
