Crankshaft, Remove and Install
 Remove
|
Remove engine – see operation "Engine, Remove and
Install".
Remove oil pump – see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and
Install".
Remove flywheel – see operation "Flywheel, Remove and
Install".
Remove drive disc – see operation "Drive Disc, Remove and
Install".
Remove rear end plate – see operation "Rear Seal Ring
– Crankshaft, Replace".
Remove con-rod bearing – see operation "Con-rod Bearing,
Remove and Install".
Remove attachment screws (1). Remove crankshaft bearing cover
(2). Remove crankshaft.

Install
Oil crankshaft bearing shells, insert crankshaft.
Inspect
Install crankshaft bearing cover such that the grooves in the
bearing shell guides are all on one side. Align crankshaft bearing
cover and do not interchange, attach bearing cover with new
attachment screws – tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft. +
50°.
Install
Install con-rod bearing – see operation "Con-rod Bearing,
Remove and Install".
Install rear end plate – see operation "Rear Seal Ring
– Crankshaft, Replace ".
Install flywheel – see operation "Flywheel, Remove and
Install".
Install drive disc – see operation "Drive Disc, Remove and
Install".
Install oil pump – see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and
Install".
Install engine – see operation "Engine, Remove and
Install".
