Engine at operating temperature (oil temperature >= 80
°C).
 Remove
For X 25 XE, X 30 XE: Remove oil filler opening port. Detach
wiring harness plug from DIS ignition module.
For X 25 XE and X 30 XE: Pull fuel pump relay (1) out of
socket.
Remove all spark plugs – see operation "Spark Plugs,
Remove and Install (X 25 XE, X 30 XE)" or "Spark Plugs, Remove and
Install (Y 26 SE, Y 32 SE)".

Note: For Y 26 SE and
Y 32 SE: Open throttle valve using TECH 2 – use "Compression
test" (TECH 2) program.
Inspect
Use compression recorder with rubber cone and measuring range up
to 1750 kPa (17.5 bar) gauge pressure. Actuate starter for approx.
4 seconds with throttle valve fully open – minimum engine
speed 300 rpm. The pressure difference between individual cylinders
should not exceed 100 kPa (1 bar).
Install
Install all spark plugs – see operation "Spark Plugs,
Remove and Install (X 25 XE, X 30 XE)" or "Spark Plugs, Remove and
Install (Y 26 SE, Y 32 SE)".
For X 25 XE, X 30 XE: Note ignition cable routing. Connect port
of oil filler opening. Attach wiring harness plug to DIS ignition
module. Insert fuel pump relay into socket.
