Manual Transmission from Engine, Detach and
Reattach
|
 Remove
Remove engine – see operation "Engine, Remove and
Install".
Detach oxygen sensor wiring harness plugs (1), (2), (3) and (4)
and uncover.
Detach exhaust system from exhaust manifold

|
Detach ground strap from oil pan.
Remove retaining clip (1) and remove retaining pin (2) upwards
– remove shift rod (3).
Remove oil filler port.
Attach KM-2358 to engine.

|
|
Remove fastening nuts (1) and (2) from engine damping
blocks.
Lift out engine from front axle body with workshop crane.
|
|
|
Remove left (1) engine damping block bracket from cylinder
block.
Detach wiring harness from right engine damping block (3).
Remove right (2) engine damping block bracket from cylinder
block.

|
|
Install
Attach KM-412-13 (1) and (2) to cylinder block.
Attach engine to KM-412 (3).

|
Remove
|
Detach wiring harness plug (1) from reverse-gear switch.
Unclip wiring harness (2) from transmission.
Remove all transmission fastening bolts – except one
fastening bolt.
Suspend transmission (3) from workshop crane.
Remove last transmission fastening bolt and detach transmission
from engine.

Install
Attach transmission to cylinder block.
Tightening torque (M8) 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.
Tightening torque (M12) 60 Nm / 44.5 lbf. ft.
Fasten wiring harness to transmission.
Attach wiring harness plug to reverse gear switch.
Remove
Suspend engine on workshop crane and detach from KM-412.
Detach KM-412-13 on both sides.
Install
Attach right and left engine damping block bracket to cylinder
block – tightening torque 40 Nm / 29.5 lbf. ft.
Attach wiring harness to engine damping block.
Place engine on front axle body.
Install fastening nuts to engine damping blocks –
tightening torque 40 Nm / 29.5 lbf. ft.
Detach retaining cables.
Install oil filler port.
Attach shift rod to transmission and secure.
Attach ground strap to oil pan.
Attach exhaust system to exhaust manifold - tightening torque 30
Nm / 22.1 lbf. ft.
Connect oxygen sensor wiring harness plugs - route cables.
Install engine – see operation "Engine, Remove and
Install".
