Ribbed V-belt, Remove and Install

  Remove

Remove pre-volume chamber – see operation "Pre-volume Chamber, Remove and Install". For X 25 XE, X 30 XE: Detach and remove secondary air metal pipe from hose connections and remove both brackets.

Mark running direction of ribbed V-belt. Tension ribbed V-belt tension roller clockwise with KM-913-A and remove ribbed V-belt from coolant pump belt pulley.

  Install

Position ribbed V-belt – tension ribbed V-belt via ribbed V-belt tension roller and KM-913-A. Ensure running direction and installation position of ribbed V-belt is correct.

Version without AC.

II

Version with AC (without guide roller)

III

Version with air conditioning (with guide roller) 1)

For X 25 XE, X 30 XE: Install centre secondary air metal pipe.

Install pre-volume chamber – see operation "Pre-volume Chamber, Remove and Install".

1 ) When replacing the ribbed V-belt, the guide roller (1) is discontinued. In other words, the ribbed V-belt must be routed as shown for version II.
