Engine - Misfiring when driving on snowy /fouled road

Poor Engine Driveability

Misfiring of engine when driving on snowy / fouled roads especially at low ambient tempera- tures.

 

Cause:

Ventilation hose of carbon canister frozen /clogged and /or water inside the fuel tank.

Production Solution:

 

Remedy:

Fix ventilation hose of carbon canister (behind right front wheel) with cable straps at the carbon canister.

-      remove inner fender panel

-      pull off the ventilation hose (1) from the ventilation pipe (2)

-      cut the end of the ventilation hose at angle and route it in front of the other hoses between carbon canister and heelhouse downwards

-      fix the ventilation hose at to points with cable straps (3) (tie up several cable straps to reach the required length) at the carbon canister
