Trouble-shooting

Nominal Value

Cause of Fault:

(If nominal value is not attained)

 

·   Ignition ON

·   Disconnect wiring harness plug from pedal position sensor P67

·   TECH 1 parameter IDLE POSITION SW

ACTIVE   5V

TECH 1 value not okay, multimeter

measurement result lower than 4.5 V:

·   Short circuit to ground

from:      wiring harness plug for DDE control unit K70 Ter. 25

to:          wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 Ter. 5

·   DDE control unit K70 defective

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

from:      wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 Ter. 5

to:        ground

 

4.5 to 5.5 V

TECH 1 value okay, multimeter measurement result greater than 5.5 V:

·   Short circuit to voltage

from:      wiring harness plug for DDE control unit K70 Ter. 25

to:          wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 Ter. 5

·   DDE control unit K70 defective

 

·   Bridge wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 with electrically fused jumper

from:       wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 Ter. 5

to:           ground

·   TECH 1 parameter IDLE POSITION SW

 

INACTIVE 0V

·   Circuit interruption

from:      wiring harness plug for DDE control unit K70 Ter. 25

to:          wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 Ter. 5

·   DDE control unit K70 defective

·   Bridge wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 with electrically fused jumper

from:      wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 Ter. 5

to:          wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 Ter. 8

·   TECH 1 parameter IDLE POSITION SW

 

INACTIVE 0V

·   Circuit interruption

from:      wiring harness plug for pedal position sensor P67 Ter. 8

to:          ground

·   DDE control unit K70 defective
