Test Conditions

Nominal Value

Affected terminals:          6, 16

Possible trouble codes:   -

Ignition ON

Engine OFF

Press key F5 in the system main menu, select the desired test using the arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

Note:

The exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve is actuated so that it moves to and fro between its two end stops.

The check is completed after a maximum of 30 s.

Note:

If this test is completed before its allocated time has elapsed (30 s), the diagnosis lamp flashes until another actuator test has been selected or 30 s have elapsed.

Noise check:

quiet clicking noise from exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve
