Note:

The idle speed can be reprogrammed, allowing the nominal idle speed to be changed by 50, 100 or 150  rpm.

Carry out relevant TECH 1 adjustment (sect. 3.2.5.1) and ECU control (sect. 3.2.7.1).

 

If the intake air temperature (cf. Data List No. 05) is higher than 50 °C / 122 °F, the nominal idle speed may increase by up to 100 rpm.

 

If the battery voltage is very low when the engine is running at idle speed (between 12.0 and 12.2 V), the Motronic control unit may increase the idle speed by up to 50 rpm.
