Disconnect ground cable from battery. Disconnect wiring harness
plug (1) for crankshaft pulse pick-up. Separate cable at crankshaft
pulse pick-up – cable remains in original position. Route new
cable to oil lines for heat exchanger and secure – ensure
that cable does not touch front exhaust pipe or sharp edges. Detach
crankshaft pulse pick-up (2) from cylinder block – note seal
ring.
Install
Fasten crankshaft pulse pick-up with new seal ring in cylinder
block – 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft. Connect wiring harness plug for
crankshaft pulse pick-up – ensure that cable is correctly
routed. Connect ground cable to battery.
