Fuel Pressure, Check

For clearer representation, illustration E 4891 shows the test connection (1) with the intake plenum removed.

Fuel escapes. Observe safety regulations and national legislation.

  Install

Connect Adapter KM-809 to test connection (1).

Connect Fuel Pressure Gauge KM-J-34730-91 via Adapter KM-809. Start engine and bleed pressure gauge – idle speed. Collect escaping fuel in suitable container.

  Inspect

Fuel Pressure, Check

Vacuum hose for fuel pressure regulator:

 

connected:

see Checking Procedure Motronic M 2.8.1/M 2.8.3 or Motronic ME 3.1.1

 

disconnected 1) :

see Checking Procedure Motronic M 2.8.1/M 2.8.3 or Motronic ME 3.1.1

1 ) Seal off vacuum hose.
