Note:
The firing angle is a value
calculated in the control unit and is influenced by various other parameters
(e. g. coolant temperature, intake air temperature, idle speed
stabilization). The firing angle cannot be adjusted by mechanics.
The nominal value range applies for the
above conditions at a normal ambient temperature of approx. 20 °C / 68 °F
(intake air temperature lower than 40 °C / 104 °F). If the temperature
deviates from this, or the engine has run for an extended period of time at
idle speed, the firing angle may vary in the range from 5 to 16 °CA (Omega -
B) or 0 to 10 °CA (Vectra / Calibra).
