·   On engine start, the voltage level change for the camshaft signal does not

     occur between the 1 st and 6 th crankshaft teeth

·   If trouble code 92 and an engine speed greater than 8000 rpm were recognized, trouble code 19 (crankshaft fault) is also stored

·   (short circuit in signal line to oscillator line)

     (short circuit to ground or circuit interruption)

·   Conditions must be fulfilled for at least 3.5 s

 

Replacement values:

Emergency operation:

·   When the engine speed is increasing, the engine speed is limited to 4512 rpm, the ignition is retarded by 12 °CA and the knock control is blocked. In operation, the engine runs without limitation.

 

Note:

An abrupt failure of the camshaft signal in operation (without loose contact) can only be recognized the next time the engine is started.

Emergency operation remains active until the next "ignition OFF".
