TECH 1, Connect to Vehicle

 

·     Ignition Off

 

·     Connect TECH 1 to diagnostic plug X13 (or XD for Omega - B)

 

The display shows in the relevant language:

 

·     Confirm Opel / Vauxhall 87 - 94 ECU               with "Yes" for

                                                                                                        Astra - F, Vectra / Cavalier, Calibra

or

 

·     Confirm Opel / vauxhall Omega - B 1994 ECU with "Yes"

 

·     Enter Model Year with relevant keys

 

·     Select vehicle type via "No" key until correct vehicle type is displayed.

       Confirm this with "Yes" key (not required for Omega - B)

 

·     Engine off, ignition On

 

·     Confirm QUICK CHECK OF ENGINE, TRANSM. AND ABS - (TC) and SELECT INSTALLED ENGINE? with "Yes"

 

·     Select SIMTEC 56 system via ­ ¯ keys and confirm with "Yes". The following then appears: WAITING FOR DATA ON SIMTEC 56

 

·     Confirm COMPARE OPEL PART - NO XXXXXXXX XX WITH CHART 3 with "Yes" key

 

·     Note trouble codes if any are displayed; confirm with "Yes" until SELECT MODE appears.

 

·     Select FO: DATA LIST with "F0" key

 

·     With the engine at operating temperature, compare all displayed data with nominal values in the Checking Procedures

 

·     If there are deviations from the nominal values, perform trouble - shooting according to instructions
