Seal Ring – Oil Pump, Replace / Seal Ring – Crankshaft, Front, Replace

  Remove

Remove toothed belt – see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install".

Remove toothed belt drive gear – counterhold with KM-662-C (1).

Edge out seal ring for crankshaft (2) with suitable tool.

Caution

Do not damage sealing surfaces.

  Install

Lightly coat sealing lip of seal ring with silicon grease (white). Press seal ring in oil pump with KM-693-A (1) – use bolt and washer of toothed belt drive gear.

Install toothed belt drive gear – counterhold with KM-662-C.

Toothed belt drive gear with new bolt to crankshaft – tightening torque 130 Nm / 96 lbf. ft. + 45° ± 5°.

Install toothed belt – see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install".
