Cylinder Head, Dismantle and Assemble
 Remove, Disconnect Remove cylinder head - see operation "Cylinder Head, Remove and Install". Remove hydraulic valve lifter - lay in installation position. Remove all attaching parts from cylinder head. Mark valves. Tension valve springs with KM-348 (1). Remove valve cotters, upper valve spring plates and valve springs. Remove valves, remove valve stem seals with KM-840. Remove valve spacer rings (2 - exhaust), lower valve spring plate (3 - intake).
 Clean Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket remnants. |

 Inspect Check sealing surfaces for plane surface, guides, sliding and bearing points for wear - see operation "Cylinder Head, Overhaul".
 Install, Connect Insert valve spacer rings (1 - exhaust), lower valve spring plate (2 - intake). Coat valves with engine oil and insert in cylinder head. Coat valve stem with engine oil. Insert new valve stem seal (3) with KM-352 (4). Drive valve stem seal carefully in to stop with light hammer blows. |

Install, Connect Insert valve springs and upper valve spring plate. Tension valve springs with KM-348 (1), insert valve keepers.
 Important! Note identification marks made on the valves.
Install, Connect Coat hydraulic valve lifter with oil and insert in cylinder head - note installation position. Install all attaching parts. Install cylinder head - see operation "Cylinder Head, Remove and Install". |
