Open coolant drain bolt on radiator – collect coolant.
Remove toothed belt tension roller – see operation
"Toothed Belt Tension Roller, Remove and Install".
Remove cable for crankshaft pulse pick-up from retainers on rear
toothed belt cover – note lead routing. Remove coolant pump
(1) from cylinder block.
 Clean
Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket remnants.
Install
Before installing coolant pump, coat sealing surface (2) with
silicon grease (white). Attach coolant pump to cylinder block with
new seal ring – tightening torque 25 Nm / 18.5 lbf. ft.
