For clearer representation, this operation is described with the engine removed.

  Remove

Disconnect wiring harness plug from DIS ignition module. Remove fastening bolt (1) with engine transport shackle from camshaft housing, fastening bolts (2) and (3) from cylinder head.

Cable bundle from DIS ignition module bracket – unclip.

Disconnect spark plug connectors. Remove ignition cables from brackets.

Remove DIS ignition module bracket upwards.

Detach cover (1) of thrust plate from camshaft housing.

  Clean

Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket remnants.

  Install

Thrust plate cover with new gasket to camshaft housing – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft. Attach DIS ignition module bracket with engine transport shackle to camshaft housing and cylinder head – tightening torque 15 Nm / 11 lbf. ft.

Connect wiring harness plug to DIS ignition module. Connect spark plug connectors, insert ignition cables in retainers.
