Secondary Air Pump Assembly, Remove and Install (X
20 XEV, X 25 XE and X 30 XE)
Note: Operation also
includes removal and installation of secondary air pump attaching
parts.

 Remove
Fanfare from assembly bracket, detach wiring harness plug (1)
and loosen hose clamp (2), detach air duct hose (3) from secondary
air pump, remove fastening nuts (4) and remove secondary air pump
assembly.

Removal of secondary air pump: remove wiring harness plug (1)
from assembly bracket, loosen hose clamp (2) and detach air intake
hose (3). Mark installation position of secondary air pump and
detach secondary air pump from secondary air pump damping ring.
|
|
|
Removal of damping ring: mark installation position of damping
ring (2) and detach with protective panel (3) from assembly bracket
(1).
Install
Installation of damping ring: attach damping ring with
protective plate to assembly bracket – 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf. ft.
Note marks made beforehand!

Installation of secondary air pump: attach secondary air pump to
secondary air pump damping ring – 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf. ft. Note
marks made beforehand!
Wiring harness plug to assembly bracket, fasten air intake hose
with hose clamp.

Remove
Removal of air cleaner: loosen hose clamp (1) and detach air
intake hose (2), loosen fastening nut (3) and remove air cleaner
(4) from holder.

Install
|
Installation of air cleaner:
|
|
Insert air cleaner in holder – 4 Nm / 3 lbf. ft.
|
|
Install air intake hose and fasten with hose clamp.
|
Attach secondary air pump assembly to side member – 12 Nm
/ 9 lbf. ft.
Install air duct hose and wiring harness plug.
Attach fanfare to secondary air pump assy. bracket – 20 Nm
/ 15 lbf. ft.
