Central Door Locking System CDLS   Quick Check FS: ACTUATOR TEST

 

ARM / DISARM SIG.

 

Conditions for Checking

Nominal Value

 

Affected Terminals: 21

Possible Trouble Codes: -

 

Only vehicles with ATWS:

 

Ignition OFF

Electronic immobilizer must be switched off (if necessary, switch off using centre button of infrared key transmitter; only vehicles with infrared remote control)

All doors closed

 

Turn key in driver's door 30° to the left (vehicle with LHD) I right (vehicle with RHD) (central door locking system unlocked and anti - theft warning system switched off)

 

Press F5 in the system main menu, select desired test with the arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

After YES key is actuated again, the central door locking system can signal "arm" or "disarm" to the ATWS:

 

arrow key Up - > "arm" signal

ARM            0V

ATWS armed after 10 s

Arrow key DOWN - > "disarm" signal

DISARM         5V

ATWS disarmed

The check is completed after a maximum of 30 s.

 

 

Possible test procedure:

 

Guide TECH 1 cable through joint of driver's door (left ajar) and operate TECH 1 from outside the vehicle.

However, ensure that the driver's door contact switch is correctly actuated (see section 6.3.2 test step 09)

Ignition OFF

Select actuator test as described above

On TECH 1, press arrow key Up and wait approx. 10 s

 

 

(LED of electronic immobilizer flashes regularly for approx. 10 s, while anti - theft warning system is being armed; once the anti - theft warning system is armed, the LED flashes irregularly)

ARM            0V

ATWS armed after 10 s

Open driver's door, left ajar

Contact switch in driver's door is actuated and ATWS triggers alarm

 

Press arrow key DOWN on TECH 1

DISARM         5V

ATWS disarmed

ATWS finishes alarm

After this actuator test is finished, delete the corresponding alarm codes in the ATWS control unit using TECH 1
