Conditions for Checking

Nominal Value

Only vehicles with infrared remote control:

Affected Terminals: -

Possible Trouble Codes: 14

Note:

The infrared key transmitters can be programmed consecutively and individually in the central door locking system control unit using this TECH 1 function.

Ignition ON

Press F7 in the system main menu, select desired test using arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

Hold infrared key transmitter to be programmed close to the infrared receiver and actuate centre button several times.

HOLD KEY TO THE

RECEIVER AND ACTIVATE SEVERAL TIMES!

Note:

With ignition ON, the reception range of the infrared receiver is limited to approx. 20 cm / 8 in.

During the programming procedure, the ignition should not be switched off, or the control unit will prevent a repeated programming attempt. If the ignition does get switched off, the central door locking system must be reselected in TECH 1.

If the display on the right appears after programming is completed, programming of the relevant key infrared transmitter is finished. TECH 1 cannot automatically determine whether the programming was successful or not. For this reason, perform the following test steps:

·    Switch ignition off / on

·    Carry out corresponding tests 14, 22 and 25 to 34 from the Quick Check F0: DATA LIST for the reprogrammed key infrared transmitters

·    Activate / deactivate the electronic immobilizer / central door locking using the two keys of the reprogrammed key infrared transmitter.

SEE CHECKING

PROCEDURE
