Note:

This note applies equally for following test steps 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21 and 25.

If TECH 1 indicates the display WARNING, the oil level at present is too low or a fault has occurred in the circuit.

The malfunction is recognised directly when ignition ON; in operation, a certain amount of time elapses

(varies between 5 s and 125 s depending on the various data list parameters) before the fault is stored.

If TECH 1 displays WARNING, this can be confirmed with the "R" key in the wash/wipe lever. TECH 1 then displays WARNING QUIT. The fault is still present.

If TECH 1 displays HISTORY WARNING, the engine oil level was too low at a previous point in time or there was a fault in the circuit. At present however, the engine oil level circuit is okay (loose contact). Once the fault has been eliminated, HISTORY WARNING can be deleted with the TECH 1 mode F4:CLEAR CODES.
