Program Code, Check without TECH 1
This check can be used to determine which program code is activated in the MID without connecting TECH 1. After switching on the ignition, press the "R" and "S" buttons in the wiper lever simultaneously for longer than 3 s.
Line 2 of the display indicates two digits, the left of which represents the program code (= ECU CODE INDEX) and the right one the software version number.
On the right in line 3 of the display, the number of odometer pulses is indicated. This shows how many pulses the MID must receive from the odometer frequency sensor per travelled 1 km.
The various program codes are listed in table 3.
