Actuator Test
The mechanical components of the cruise control can be checked by TECH 1 for correct functioning. This is done by an actuator test which automatically checks the components. If a malfunction is detected by the control unit, trouble code 55 is stored. If no malfunction is detected, the fault may possibly be caused by a defect in the wiring harness or in one of the switches.
· Service
Before replacing the control unit / actuator, use TECH 1 and the "System Checking with TECH 1; Opel / Vauxhall Omega - B 94 ECU" Checking Procedures or the multimeter / oscilloscope to check all input signals for correct nominal values.
