Condition

Door lock micro-switch becomes inoperative. 

Symptoms may include:

Alarms sounds without reason

^

Alarm sounds under high humidity condition

^

Alarm works intermittently

^

Dome light flashes

^

Dome light / courtesy lights stay on

^

Keyless entry remote does does not function

^

Alarm activation signal (beep) does not sound

Service

Comfort System ECM's replaced for the above symptoms have been found fully functional when tested.

Prior to replacing an Electronic Control Module:

Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool and check for stored DTC's as follows:

Control module identification of central control module for comfort system -J393- is indicated on display.
