Disconnect connect -1- from brake light switch -2-
-
Remove brake light switch by turning left (counterclockwise)

Obtain new brake light switch 1J0 945 511 D
CAUTION: THIS VERSION SWITCH CONTAINS AN INTERNAL SWITCH THAT CAN BE DAMAGED IF NOT INSTALLED
AND ADJUSTED PROPERLY. DO NOT DEPRESS PLUNGER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. SWITCH CAN ONLY BE TESTED IN
THE INSTALLED POSITION.

Before installing, pull plunger (black arrow) to full length (approx. 27 mm)

Keep brake pedal in up position
IMPORTANT: Hold pedal in up while installing switch

Insert switch -2- fully into mounting hole (only fits into hole one way) pressing plunger against pedal to adjust plunger position

Secure switch and plunger position by turning switch fully to the right (approx. 45°) to it's stop
