Production
As a running change, vehicles will be equipped with wheel lock bolts from manufacturer Kamax instead of McGard.
Service
Kamax lock bolts are black in color and require a splined adapter socket with 1 of 12 possible combinations to remove or install.
The correct adapter socket is included in the vehicle tool kit located in the spare tire well.
Replacement adapter sockets can be ordered using Part No: 8D0 601 139E followed by the 3 digit code (indicated on the socket adapter and at end of
each lock bolt). Each adapter socket will be shipped with one corresponding wheel lock bolt.
The 3 digit code can also be determined by counting the number of splines in the security pattern of lock bolt and referencing the chart shown:
A special master set containing all twelve adapter socket combinations (# 3375) is scheduled for automatic shipment as a minimum tool requirement
within the next few weeks.
