Start engine. Refer to "Diagnosis With Address Word 01, Selectable Functions" at "Diagnosis With Scan Tool, Address Word 01".

Operate Scan Tool taking displayed information into account

Press button 1 to select "Rapid data transfer".

Press 0 and 1 buttons to select Address word 01:
"Engine electronics".

Press Q button to enter input.

ECM identification will appear on display as shown (example only)

AG = Automatic transmission

Coding 00001 = coding variant

1813 = ECM software version

WSC Dealer number (Work Shop Code)
