Fuel Filter: Service and Repair
Fuel Filter, Draining

Fuel filter, draining water (Diesel engine)

Note:  Do not allow Diesel fuel to contact coolant hoses Wipe any spilled fuel off hoses immediately and wash hoses with soap and water.
Observe prescribed fuel and fuel filter disposal regulations!

Loosen clamps - A - and remove connector - B -
Remove pressure tube from intercooler
Remove retaining clip - 3 - and take control valve - 4 - off with fuel lines connected
Install hose onto water drain screw - 5 - and drain approx. 0.1 liters (0.1 qt) of fluid
Place a new O - ring on control valve and install valve with fuel lines connected
Install retaining clip
Close water drain screw - 5 -
Install pressure tube for intercooler
Start engine and check fuel system for leaks (visual check)
