Before working on any airbag system, always review CAUTIONS and WARNINGS in the appropriate Repair Manual!
Front Seat With Side Airbag, Removing
When removing and or repairing a front seat which is equipped with a side airbag, special tool VAS 5094 must be connected prior to seat removal and or
repair.
Install special tool VAS 5094 as follows:
WARNING!
Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap before starting work on electrical system!

Removal and installation procedures may be slightly different depending on vehicle and equipment levels.

Obtain correct coding for anti-theft radio.

Note customer's radio station pre-sets.
